I took both the face shield and the Sheer shield to Europe this summer. My skin never looked better. I felt safe that both products were true SPF50. I do re apply as required, wear a hat and do not burn under the Greek sun.

It absorbs beautifully, feels incredibly lightweight on the skin, and leaves no white casting, heavy or greasy residue. What impressed me most was how effortlessly water beaded off the skin while still maintaining such an invisible and elegant finish. I was also incredibly impressed to learn that, when reapplied every two hours, it maintains SPF 40 protection for water sports. I was 19 and told I had melanoma, 4 days later I was in hospital for a life saving operation. From then on, I’ve never left the house without wearing sunscreen. Nothing she puts her name on isn’t. But this gear is NEXT LEVEL. It’s like science meets black magic. It’s fab on its own or goes beautifully under makeup. It feels like skin care - elegant and invisible - and actually does its job. For the first time EVER, I’m able to wear sunscreen that doesn’t feel like it’s wearing me!
I found this brand after a client of mine recommended the Matte Zinc and now have gotten the invisible zinc also as part of my golf kit. Incredible stuff, now I'm the one recommending it to my gf and clients haha. I love that it's an Aussie brand too that full-fills it's promise. After the whole banana boat scandal I was turned off sunscreens but so happy to find one that has the best ingredients and feels good on the skin. Bravo

Not only do they leave a clean clear finish, non whitening unlike other spf products they also last the whole day leaving me with ample skin protection! Their Lip Shield is great too! I wear SPF daily. At 56 it’s a non negotiable. This DNC super shield is a natural physical blocker, a true 50 SPF that’s dewy, has silky skin feel AND actives. With DNC I trust these actives are included at a level proven to deliver results not just a sprinkle for claims. This is my new daily ritual that will protect with the dewy finish. Living in Queensland I can't afford to not wear sunscreen every day. This is perfect for my morning walks as it’s long-lasting throughout the day and isn’t greasy. It sits really nice under makeup and also blends in seamlessly with no white cast. Super impressed by this product. It's by far the most elegant sunscreen I have ever used and love it’s Derm-designed! Game changer 🙌🏻

I have religiously been using another mineral clinic brand of supposedly SPF 50 until it was recalled. Ordered this and I must say it is the BEST mineral SPF 50 I have ever used. It’s smooth texture goes on over other skin care products, gives my skin a glow and works well under makeup. In fact I had colleagues in the office the first day I used it ask me what I had done to my skin. Thank you Dr Cook for giving us the best protection I have ever used. Invest in this- no better way to stop sun damage! 10/10

I have been using DrNC skincare for over 15 years and can genuinely give the entire range five stars. My 18-year-old daughter now uses the products too, and they have made such a difference to her problematic teenage skin. What I have always loved about DrNC is the simplicity. The routine is straightforward, the packaging is simple and to the point, and there are no gimmicks or endless products to navigate. Most importantly, the range has been developed by dermatologist Dr Natasha Cook and is grounded in the science of skin and what actually works. For me, the proof has always been my own skin. On the occasions over the years when I have been too busy to replenish my products, I notice the difference. They have become absolute staples in my skincare routine — two simple steps morning and night, plus the Concentrated Micropeel wipes, which I would hate to be without. I also love the cleanser, which cleans my skin beautifully without leaving it feeling dry or tight like many foaming cleansers can. The one thing I have always struggled to find, though, is the right SPF. I am very particular about sunscreen. I want SPF 50+ protection, but I don’t want something greasy, chalky or heavy. I don’t want a white zinc cast over my face, neck and chest, and because I am very active, I also don’t particularly want a tinted sunscreen that feels like I am wearing makeup. So I was very interested to try the new SheerShield SPF 50. And I absolutely love it. It really is sheer, it is mineral based, and it feels beautiful on the skin. The finish is probably what surprised me most — fresh and slightly dewy without looking shiny, and definitely not heavy or matte. On days when I’m not working, I wear it over my serum and moisturiser without makeup, and twice now I have been asked whether I had just had a facial. On work days, when I do wear makeup, I’ve also found that SheerShield sits beautifully underneath it and almost feels like a really good primer. My makeup goes on smoothly over the top without the heaviness or tackiness I’ve experienced with other SPFs. After all these years of loving the DrNC range, SheerShield feels like the piece that was missing for me. Finding an SPF 50 that I genuinely enjoy putting on every morning is a big deal, particularly because sun protection is such an important part of skincare. So this is simply an honest five-star review from a very long-term DrNC user. SheerShield has gone straight into my daily routine, along with the rest of the range.

Amazing results on dark skin!!! I recently bought the drNC SHEERSHIELD® INVISIBLE SPF 50. I was skeptical at first because I’ve been using various invisible zinc products on my Indian skin for decades and, until Sheershield, I hadn’t found one that was actually invisible. When I first apply Sheershield, it does look white on my dark skin. However, after a few minutes, it absorbs into my skin and leaves a nice, light sunscreen sheen. It doesn’t have the thick or oily feeling of most zinc sunscreens, and it doesn’t sting or cause rashes on my skin—it’s just really nice to wear. My partner loves it as well. I do quite a bit of outdoor exercise—running, mountain biking and climbing—so finding a proper SPF 50 that doesn’t make me break out in a rash is really important to me. I’m so glad drNC has produced a proper SPF 50 that works for dark skin and outdoor enthusiasts. Thank you!

I spend quite a bit of time outside enjoying the fresh air and sunshine and sea here, so it is imperative that the sunscreen I put on my face and other exposed areas is something I can trust. DrNC's Sheershield is the absolute OG of Sunscreens and I would now never use anything else. It is a pleasure to apply, yes it can be a bit white initially, but it quickly absorbs into the skin to leave a glowy and clean looking complexion. I love that it doesn't sting my eyes if I get perspiration in them or salt water and rub them and I love how it sits so well under my CC cream or heavier foundation if I am wearing it. It's seriously just brilliant.

This sunscreen is the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been looking for an easy to use sunscreen and this is it. In the past my sunscreen has given me pimples and was heavy to apply. This is excellent to apply and it doesn’t feel heavy like sunscreen. It’s excellent , well worth the money. I had my first skin cancer at 17 so I am very grateful that this product has arrived. This is a must product to look after our skin in this harsh Australian sun. Congratulations DR C. Xx

I’ve been really loving these SPF products lately. As someone who’s struggled with acne and sensitive skin, I’m super careful about what I put on my face, especially sunscreen because so many feel heavy or end up clogging my pores. These feel lightweight, comfortable on the skin, and blend in beautifully without leaving that thick greasy feeling. I also love that they’re mineral based and include skin loving ingredients like zinc and niacinamide, so it feels like I’m protecting my skin while also keeping it calm and happy. They sit really nicely under makeup but also look amazing on their own for no makeup days. Definitely one of those products that has become part of my everyday routine.

I’m loving SheerShield! SPF is such an important part of my daily routine after having skin cancer at 20, and with everything going on in the media at the moment around the sunscreen space, I really need to trust that what I’m putting on my skin is actually working. Knowing it’s formulated by an Australian dermatologist and tested in Australia gives me a lot more confidence in that. SheerShield blends in easily, doesn’t leave a white tint, and isn’t greasy at all. It sits so nicely under makeup as well. Highly recommend!
